Ninja Baby, Warrior Mum!

An early start for the team on Thursday as this little one was in a huge hurry to join her 2 big brothers in all the adventures ahead.
Her Amazing Warrior Mama welcomed her earthside, in the pool at home and into the hands of her daddy.
This lovely picture was created the day before on big brothers birthday. ?ninja baby with 2 brothers!

The first in a flurry of 3 babies in 12 hours!
Such a priviledge spending yesterday morning supporting this amazing mama as she welcomed her little boy at home in the pool.
A labour dance of patience as he settled into an optimum position for birth.
A second homebirth with the team for this lovely couple – the perfect surprise for his big sister when she gets home from Grandma’s!

Baby in Hurry!

Another little catch up for the Team….
This lovely mum considered all her options and chose the pathway that felt right for her. And this little one decided that he wasn’t to be dictated to with timings. So with support from our colleagues at Royal Surrey, she welcomed her little boy in the pool in MLU as we arrived to support her too. We discharged her home within a few hours of birth and continue her postnatal care at home.

This Amazing Mama was supported in MLU, by us, as she welcomed her little boy earthside in the pool. A few hours later she was home and tucked up in her own bed and today we said a sad farewell as we discharged her from our care.
This Gorgeous hat and bootie set was knitted by grandma as a snuggly ‘hug’ until she is able to meet him in person when COVID restrictions are eased.

A sad farewell for the team as we discharged this lovely family from our care. Having been ‘with us’ for 3 of her pregnancies, we were privileged to be able to support her at The Royal Surrey where she welcomed her little girl earthside . With a busy, excited bunch of siblings to welcome her home and plan many adventures ahead.

🌟 October – December 2020 Stats 🌟

🤰🏡 An Amazing 97% vaginal birth rate for the mamas who started their labours at home.

🤰🙋 88% of our mums knew the midwife who cared for them in labour.

🤱🍼 On discharge to the health visitor 95% of our caseload were still feeding the way they had intended at birth.

Even through all the uncertainties that the year had thrown at everyone, we are so pleased to be back offering our homebirth service as normal (with PPE).

To support birth choices is both a priority and priviledge to us all in the Surrey Hills Team 🌟💙🌟💖🌟
