Big Sister, Little Sister

A little catch up from last week. This amazing Mum considered her options when plans changed, and chose the birth that felt safest for her and her little girl. She had support of our wonderful colleagues at The Royal Surrey. We are privileged to continue her postnatal care at home, along with this very proud big sister! #birthisamazingwhereverithappens

Across the Finish Line!

A little catch up today – September has been living up to its reputation, with a busy few weeks, as the team have had the privilege of supporting these wonderful growing families. The Pandemic may have prevented this lovely couple from attending Ascot as planned this year, but they still crossed a finish line of their own! This amazing Mum was supported by us in labour and then by our colleagues at The Royal Surrey Maternity unit to welcome her baby boy. #BirthisAmazingWhereeveritHappens

Lucy and the home birth team,
A huge thank you to you all for your continued support through our pregnancy and beyond.
Your care, time and attention had been incredible and so much appreciated by us all.
We are so grateful to have had this experience with you all…”

Hungry like a wolf

This picture feels especially apt after the feeding frenzy of night two!

It’s been a pleasure to support this family as they’ve navigated their choices and developed a plan that felt right for them and their circumstances and we are looking forward to continuing our support in to the postnatal period.

Third time lucky

After supporting this family over multiple pregnancies it was an absolute pleasure for the team to be able to facilitate the birth they have always desired.

Ingredients for a positive birth

This amazing mother fully prepared and planned for a positive birth including developing a birth plan that covered all eventualities.

Education, maternal instinct, birth support and a trusting relationship with her named midwife ensured her little ones safe arrival earthside.

When circumstances indicated the need for a change in plan this family was already informed of their choices and had a considered alternative plan ready
