October – December 2020 Stats

🌟 October – December 2020 Stats 🌟

🀰🏑 An Amazing 97% vaginal birth rate for the mamas who started their labours at home.

πŸ€°πŸ™‹ 88% of our mums knew the midwife who cared for them in labour.

🀱🍼 On discharge to the health visitor 95% of our caseload were still feeding the way they had intended at birth.

Even through all the uncertainties that the year had thrown at everyone, we are so pleased to be back offering our homebirth service as normal (with PPE).

To support birth choices is both a priority and priviledge to us all in the Surrey Hills Team πŸŒŸπŸ’™πŸŒŸπŸ’–πŸŒŸ

If you would like to learn more about the team and birthing your baby at home, and you live within the team’s catchment, please email us at rsch.homebirth.referrals@nhs.net

The Softest Cuddles

Another of our recent farewells to this lovely family as they continue their adventures as a family of four!
We supported this family throughout their antenatal care, through navigating their birth choices as they presented themselves, and continues their postnatal care. An absolute privilege as always to provide continuity.

Footprints on our Hearts

There’s just something about squishy, pink baby feet.
Adding to our farewells recently , this lovely couple have been supported by the team in their first journey to parenthood and yesterday we discharged them from our care with their little one thriving on his mummy’s milk!! We supported this family to make informed decisions that were right for them and baby.

Ten Tiny Toes

The Team have been priviledged in supporting this lovely family in exploring their birth options and the choices that felt right for them. Continued support by our team when their second little boy was welcomed earthside at The Royal Surrey.
And this week we bid them a sad farewell after postnatal support at home, as they continue their journey in parenthood and a family of four.

Big Sister, Little Sister

A little catch up from last week. This amazing Mum considered her options when plans changed, and chose the birth that felt safest for her and her little girl. She had support of our wonderful colleagues at The Royal Surrey. We are privileged to continue her postnatal care at home, along with this very proud big sister! #birthisamazingwhereverithappens
