Last week, we were delighted to support this Awesome Mama at #home as she welcomed her Gorgeous little girl earthside 💖 With Big sister fast asleep, grandma quietly snuck in the back door to be there when she awoke and to join in with all the lovely new baby excitement, all in time for breakfast 💖💖 Her sweet little doula-dog was dozing quietly by the aga throughout …. A misty Autumnal morning for this Gorgeous little ones arrival 🍂🍁🍂 She was in a mighty hurry and beat us to it In her excitement to meet her Mama 🚀💖💫 With older siblings whisked off to grandparents just down the road to get ready for school/nursery, this little one knew she’d have a few hours with her Mama before they return home with all the excitement. Family life (duties) resumed in less than an hour from her arrival when dad went to watch biggest brothers first Harvest festival school assembly. A big Brothers hand to hold… always 🤩 This little one was just never going to give us the chance in time 🚀💖 Her amazing Mama calmly welcomed her into her arms at #home while we were enroute and daddy was trying to get the #pool sorted. In the early hours we were delighted to support this Awesome Mama as she welcomed her Gorgeous little girl into her arms in the #pool at #home 💖 With Grandma staying over, she was there to care for big brother, who woke shortly after birth, and ease a departure to Nursery in the morning … None-the-wiser of the magic that had occurred in the room next door- what an exciting afternoon he had getting home to meet his new little sibling 😍💙💖 Our second time caring for this lovely family, a first homebirth for them- with the extra bonus of having their named midwife there for birth too 🤗 A busy little moment for the Team as 2 of our caseload families got to meet their Gorgeous little one 1.5 hours apart ⭐️⭐️ #HomeBirthJustHappened #SurreyHillsHomeBirthTeam #physiologicalbirth #caseloading #continuity #care #support #options #informedchoice #choice

We are delighted to share our second quarter of 2022 Team stats with you 🤗 A wonderful 89% of our caseload who were planning a homebirth during their pregnancy had a vaginal birth. Of the 47 booked on our caseload. Caesarean section rate 11% Emergency Ceasarean 9% (4) Elective ceasarean 2% (1) induction of labour 4% (2) instrumental birth 0

🏡 89% of those who were planning a homebirth and started their labour at home, in our care, had a homebirth

🤰🏼94% of our mums in the whole caseload knew the midwife who cared for them in labour

🤰🏼 85% of our mums who birthed at home had a physiological 3rd stage (natural birth of the placenta)

🤰🏼4 x transfer to hospital in labour and 4 x transfer to hospital postnatally (21% total)

🤱 on discharge from midwifery care: 70% exclusively breastfeeding and 81% having some breast milk

Caseloading speaks for itself and is something we are truly passionate about 🤗 To support fully informed birth choices is both a priority and privilege to us all in the Surrey Hills Team ⭐️💖😩⭐️
