Today a few of us have the very great pleasure of swapping our NHS approved sensible flat shoes for something a bit more glamorous in order to support our wonderful team leader, Tanya Ashton, as she attends the British Journal of Midwifery’s Practice Awards 2017.
I know that you will all join us in wishing her the very best of luck tonight where we will learn the outcome of the Midwife of the year short list.
No matter the result she is our midwife of the year and we are incredibly proud of her and inspired by the work she does day in day out, year after year!
We are absolutely delighted and proud to announce that our wonderful team leader, Tanya Ashton, has been shortlisted for The British Journal of Midwifery Practice award 2017: Midwife of the Year.
“The judges have debated, scrutinised and voted on each and every entry. BJM magazine has totalled these scores and the fact that you receive this notification shows that you’re through – well done!
This is a fantastic achievement and recognises the quality and innovative nature of the work you are doing.”
Thank you all for your continued support and feedback, which was vital to the nomination entry submitted by the team. You can read the full nomination below the cut.
It is so lovely to see our wonderful home birth team colleague, Sarah, getting recognition for providing excellent care and support with this client nominated award.
Category you were nominated for: Patient’s Choice
The reason for your nomination: Sarah and the rest of the team are always friendly and happy to go above and beyond to reassure and promote home birth. No question is too much bother and they offer an excellent service.
Regardless of wether she goes on to win the award, Sarah will always be a Royal Surrey Star to us!
