Hello my name is Mhairi and I am so excited to have joined the Surrey Hills Homebirth Team. I completed my midwifery training at Royal Surrey and during that time I had the amazing opportunity to spend time with the homebirth team. Since qualifying as a Midwife I have worked in both the hospital and the community. Most recently I worked in a caseloading team which I loved but my ultimate goal has always been to join the homebirth team. Prior to becoming a Midwife I was a birth and postnatal doula. I have three children, my youngest was born at home which was a fantastic experience. As a homebirth midwife I really enjoy the opportunity it gives me to really get to know women and their families, so as a team we can freely provide personalised care.
