Hello my name is Deana

I began working in midwifery in 1999 as an HCA on the unit. I left and completed my nursing and midwifery studies returning to the Royal Surrey in 2006. Since then I’ve been caring for women in all areas of maternity. I joined the Homebirth team in 2011 and instantly fell in love with continuity and the relationships I built with family’s at this special time.
Today I have a dual role, back to working in the team for 2 days a week but also a screening coordinator helping to run the maternity screening programs and support women sometimes through difficult times.
Essentially I strive everyday to ensure women’s maternity journeys remain a positive one.
