Team treat

We were delighted to see so many familiar and new faces at our forum today.

A massive thank you to the lovely mum who, despite caring for a growing family, managed to find time to treat the team with this beautiful #homemade cake!

We are currently working on our forum dates for the new year. Pop back soon for our 2020 schedule.

Familiar Faces

Many of you may remember that NHS England attended one of our forums at the end of 2017 in order to make a film about #BetterBirths and the importance of #continuity. They finally released the video! It’s wonderful to see so many familiar faces.

Thank you to everyone that took part.

Forum Feedback Required

*Surrey Hills Homebirth Team Clients past and present*

I know that this is very short notice but the team needs your help. We have to provide evidence by Wednesday that our monthly forums are valued by service users.

If you have ever attended one (or more) of our forums and found the experience useful- perhaps allowing you to explore your options initially, helped you to get to know all of the team members, providing a forum to discuss Positive Homebirth experiences and information, meeting other families who had had or were planning a Homebirth- could you please email a few words to that effect including your baby’s birth month and year to Tanya.ashton@nhs.net

Thank you

Authentic Self

We know that a birthing body works best when it feels safe, secure and unobserved . For clients who choose to be cared for by the Surrey Hills team that means birthing in their own home, cared for my midwives they’ve had the opportunity to get to know. If you would like to learn more about #homebirth provision at the Royal Surrey County Hospital simply pop along to one of our informal forums or contact the team to arrange a chat in your own home.
