2021 Stats ⭐️

We are delighted to share our 2021 stats with you 🤗⭐️🤗

With a total of 204 families in our caseload, we have included the 4 week period of time in January that our service was suspended as the ambulance service were too stretched to support us. These numbers are included in the side of the infographic as we continued to support all our caseload in the antenatal/ postnatal period, as well as covering for as many births in the MLU/ hospital as we could. We were grateful to work alongside, and with the support of our lovely colleagues at Royal Surrey 🤗⭐️ we were delighted to get back to home birthing as soon as was safely possible.

4.4% Homebirth rate of the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust births Feb-Dec 2021

🤰🏼95% vaginal birth rate for the mamas who started their labours at home.

🤰🏼 89% of our caseload who were planning a home birth during their pregnancy had a vaginal birth .

🤰🏼 82% of mothers knew the midwife who cared for them in labour.

🤰🏼 91% of mothers had a physiological 3rd stage (natural birth of the placenta)

🤰🏼75% of our caseload who birthed at home used water for labour and/or birth.

🤱 92% exclusively breastfeeding with 98% of babies have some breast milk

🤰🏼 11% of our caseload had a caesarean birth, 4% planned and 7% unplanned.

🤰🏼 4% instrumental birth.

🤰🏼 11% induction/ augmentation of labour.

🤰🏼🚑🤱🚙 17% transfer rate to hospital, 11% in labour, 6% postnatally.
