Hello my name is Tanya I’ve been a member of the homebirth team since it’s creation.
I have worked in all areas of the hospital and community during my time at RSCH. During my working life I have had various jobs including nurse, barmaid, business travel administrator, a stint working for the Army in a transport squadron but midwifery is my vocation.
I am a Professional Midwifery Advocate, this role enables me to support both women and the midwives caring for them to have the best birth experience possible.
My aim is to empower women to birth the way they want in the place they want.
I have 2 children, 2 dogs , 2 cats and a long suffering husband, obviously listed in order of importance 😉.
Come back tomorrow to meet another member of the Surrey Hills team.
If you would like to learn more about the team and birthing your baby in your own home come along to one of the team’s informal forums (see Events) or contact the team to arrange a chat in the comfort of your own home rsch.homebirth.referrals@nhs.net
